A trailrunners Haute-Route – day 1

Bike Tour around Thunersee

The nice weather conditions allowed to do an after-work bike tour around the Thunersee. I chose to do the climb up to Beatenberg, even if the road signs told the road was closed, and I was happy I chose this way. Good road conditions, no cars at all, a great view to the mountains in the Jungfrau region.

Bike tour to the Gurnigel

Again great weather conditions and a nice afterwork ride from Bern up to the Gurnigel pass. I chose the steep version from north to reach the Gurnigel pass, and had to ride over around 50m of ice on the road. Apart from that, the road conditions were great, and the panorama views are extraordinary
